Mandatory PF Portal Registration for Continued Payment and Filing Automation

In the last few days, EPFO has introduced a mandatory one-time registration on the PF portal for Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. This registration must be completed by the organisation directly on the PF portal by 10th January '26 to enable RazorpayX Payroll to process the PF payment, filing, and any new PF registrations for December and the following months.


Important: RazorpayX cannot complete this registration on your behalf as it requires your organisation’s GSTIN and bank account details, and the authorised signatory must verify via e-Sign (Aadhaar OTP) or Digital Signature (DSC).



What you need to do (one-time)?


You can refer to this video or follow the steps mentioned below >

  1. Log in to the PF portal.

  2. Choose whether your establishment is registered under GST.

    1. If Yes: enter GSTIN, bank account number, and IFSC.

    2. If No: select the reason for not having GST; enter bank account number and IFSC, then submit.

  3. After submission, you’ll see a confirmation page.

  4. Verify the details using e-Sign (Aadhaar OTP) or DSC.

  5. Log out and close the page.


Once this registration is completed, we will be able to proceed with your December’s PF payment, filing, and any new PF registrations.


What happens if you don’t complete this?


This registration is a mandatory prerequisite for PF payment and filing. If it is not completed, we will not be able to process PF payment, filings, and new registrations for your organisation for December and the following months. Therefore you might be liable to bear interest and damage charges due to missed payments and filings.


I am unable to see these mandatory steps

  • You may not see the registration prompt if your organisation has already completed this registration earlier.

  • You may also not see it if the government modifies or rolls back the mandatory requirement after you read this — in that case, we’ll send more updates.

Q: Can RazorpayX Payroll register for me?

A: No, the portal requires your GSTIN, bank details, and authorised-signatory e-Sign/DSC.


Q: How long does the registration take?

A: Typically, a few minutes if you have GSTIN, bank account number, and Aadhaar/DSC ready.


Q: I logged in, but don’t see the registration prompt. Why?

A: Either your organisation already completed the registration, or the government has since removed/changed the requirement. If unsure, check the PF portal under your establishment settings or contact EPFO support.


Q: What happens after I register?

A: After successful verification, log out. We’ll then proceed with the December payroll PF payment and filing for your organisation.
